Meet Demetrios Tsiokos, DDS

A member of the Long Island Dental Excellence team since 2011, Dr. Tsiokos was initially born in Greece, but moved to the United States at the age of eight. He completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Stony Brook in 1992 and graduated from the NYU College of Dentistry in 1997. After practicing general dentistry for several years, Dr. Tsiokos completed his postdoctoral education in periodontics at NYU in 2003, earning board certification as a periodontist.
In his role as a periodontist, Dr. Tsiokos specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating gum disease while preserving the health of the tissues that support your teeth. With this focus, he has gained extensive experience in supporting gum surgery, extractions, bone grafting, and surgically placing dental implants.
With his knowledge, calming personality, and gentle touch, Dr. Tsiokos is dedicated to providing personalized care that yields ideal outcomes.
