Background and Education
As a third-generation dentist and Long Island native, Dr. Rechter graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed his residency at Englewood Hospital.

For over 30 years Dr. Rechter has served patients while continuing to refine his expertise. He represents the gold standard in advanced cosmetic treatments with the latest techniques, the best materials, the best labs, and stunning results.
Home Life
Dr. Rechter is an avid photographer whose compelling photos can be found on the walls of many local businesses and our practice. He is also a caring father and grandfather who looks forward to traveling and taking photos all over the world, especially Italy, when he eventually decides to retire.

Background and Education
Originally from Long Beach, Dr. Heiss graduated from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Spanish (speaks it fluently). He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Touro College of Dental Medicine where he was a member of the Nu Rho Psi Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Advanced Expertise
Dr. Heiss has completed an Advanced Clinical Education program in Orthodontics and is a published author in his field. His article, “Beyond Brushing: Can Toothpaste Cure Your Child’s Peanut Allergy” was featured on the cover of the New York State Dental Journal in 2024.
The highly successful founder of Pearly Whites Dental Studio in Oceanside, he merged his practice with Long Island Dental Excellence in 2025.
Home Life
Growing up in a beach town, he loves to surf. He also enjoys skiing, playing guitar (he’s in a band!), playing beach volleyball, and following sports (Mets, Giants, Islanders, Knicks). He played baseball into college and actually ran with the bulls in Spain!

Background and Education
Originally born in Greece, his family moved to the United States when he was eight. Dr. T graduated from SUNY Stony Brook and went on to complete his dental degree at the NYU College of Dentistry.
Advanced Expertise
Dr. T completed his 3-year postdoctoral education in periodontics at NYU, subsequently earning Board Certification as a Periodontist. He has extensive training and experience in supporting gum surgery, extractions, bone grafting, and surgically placing dental implants. Known for his calming personality and gentle touch, he specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating gum disease while preserving the health of the tissues that support your teeth.

Krystal
Krystal is a highly skilled and forward-thinking dental assistant who helps keep procedures efficient and seamless. With formal training and certification in dental assisting, she brings precision, organization, and a strong sense of anticipation to every appointment—often staying one step ahead of the doctor and team.
Outside of work, Krystal enjoys exploring new places and unwinding with her favorite hobbies. She’s also a fan of music, bubble tea, and any opportunity to spend time near the beach.
Pryscilla
Pryscilla is a dedicated dental assistant who plays an important role in keeping clinical days running smoothly. She is attentive, supportive, and always willing to jump in wherever needed, bringing a calm and steady presence that both patients and teammates appreciate.
Outside the office, Pryscilla enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, gaming, and embracing new experiences.
Stephanie
Stephanie joined Dr. Heiss from Pearly Whites Dental Studio and brings years of experience from working in multiple dental offices. She is a knowledgeable assistant who contributes greatly to the flow and efficiency of patient care.
Stephanie is passionate about health and wellness, when she’s not busy making sure your teeth are healthy, you can find her in the gym staying active and motivated.
Tonya
Tonya began her journey with the office as a patient of Dr. Rechter before becoming a valued member of the clinical team. With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, she brings warmth, reliability, and a strong work ethic to every patient interaction.
Originally from Mississippi, Tonya carries that signature Southern hospitality into everything she does. Outside the office, she is an animal lover who enjoys music—especially 80s classics—and relaxing beach getaways.
Donna
Donna, a Rockville Centre local, plays a vital role in keeping the office running smoothly behind the scenes. Known as the office “fixer,” she takes on marketing initiatives and operational challenges with ease, bringing a thoughtful, graceful, and strategic mindset to everything she does.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her accomplished family, staying active, and traveling—especially to her favorite spots like Jamaica!
Sherie
Sherie brings an incredible 48 years of experience in dentistry, including 20 years with Long Island Dental Excellence. As a customer service specialist, she is known for her deep knowledge, strong relationships with patients, and the genuine care she brings to every interaction.
She has been a cornerstone of the practice and a mentor to many on the team. As she looks toward retirement, she reflects on her time here as an incredible journey shaped by the coworkers who became like family.

Kimberly is a talented dental hygienist who proudly boasts the award of Clinical Excellence by the American Dental Association. Kim has over two decades of experience and a strong focus on preventive care. She is detail-oriented, thorough, and dedicated to helping patients maintain excellent oral health, not to mention that she brings a positive and professional energy to the office.
Outside of work, she doubles as a mother of two and enjoys relaxing and making the most of her time outside the office.
Victoria
Victoria is an excellent hygienist, known for her thorough care and strong emphasis on patient education. She takes the time to ensure patients fully understand their oral health and treatment needs before the doctor even steps in.Victoria brings a calm, confident presence that patients trust.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going to see Pearl Jam shows and celebrating milestones, including her daughter’s recent marriage.
Angela
Angela is a highly experienced dental hygienist with over 20 years in the field, known for her gentle approach and commitment to patient comfort. She shares a unique full-circle connection with Dr. Heiss, having once been his hygienist before he entered dentistry himself. He then became her assistant for a time as he learned more about the field, until he ultimately decided to go to dental school himself!
Angela works seamlessly with the team and prioritizes education and long-term oral health. Outside the office, she is very family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones.
Denise
Denise brings extensive experience from high-end dental practices, including time spent working in New York City. She provides meticulous, detail-oriented care and has worked with a wide range of patients, including notable public figures.Denise is a strong asset to the team with her professionalism and clinical expertise.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and escaping to warm destinations during the winter months.
Greicy
Greicy is often the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk into the office. She brings a warm, welcoming energy that helps patients feel comfortable right away and is always ready to assist with anything they need. She has been working in dentistry for 27 years and has been with us at LIDE for 11 of them!
Fluent in Spanish, she is able to connect with and support a wide range of patients. Outside the office, she is a proud and dedicated mother who puts her family first, and loves to travel.
Tammy
Tammy has been with Dr. Heiss since his very first day at Pearly Whites Dental Studio and remains an essential part of the team. With experience in both front and back office roles, she is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry and helps keep everything running efficiently.She is a reliable resource for both patients and staff alike.
Outside of work, Tammy loves spending time with her grandchildren, who are her top priority.
Katisha
Katisha joined the team from Pearly Whites Dental Studio and has quickly become a reliable and valued part of the office. She is hardworking, detail-oriented, and always focused on creating a positive experience for patients.
She is a proud mother of two, including an up-and-coming MMA fighter, and enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved cat.
Joanne
Joanne is a dedicated hygienist who plays a key role in keeping Saturdays running smoothly. She is known for her friendly, bubbly personality and her ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. She takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality care.
Outside the office, she enjoys staying social, spending time with friends, and relaxing on beach vacations—especially in St. Thomas.
